10 Reasons Sex is Good for Your Health
Print10 Reasons Sex is Good for Your Health">
According to a recent story in Australia's The Daily Telegraph, there are lots of great health benefits associated with a fulfilling sex life. A 10-year Welsh study found that those who enjoyed an active sex life were 50 percent less likely to have died during that time than those who did not. And that's just for starters, according to sex and relationships therapist Dr. Gabrielle Morrissey. Here are 10 great reasons to spend some quality time with your partner, between the sheets.1. Leads to fewer heart attacks and strokes: Having sex several times a week may cut your risk of heart attack or stroke in half.
2. Lowers blood pressure and stress: Studies have found that both regular sex and hugs from a sexual partner can diminish stress, blood pressure and heart rates.
3. Reduces chance of depression: The feel-good hormones released during sex have an anti-depressant function.

4. Lowers risk of osteoporosis and bone problems: People who have regular sex tend to have higher levels of testosterone, which is linked to a reduced risk of osteoporosis and other bone problems.
5. Cuts down on seasonal cold and flu: Research demonstrates that having sex at least once a week increases the body's production of immune-boosting antibodies.
6. Prevents prostate cancer: Men in their 20s who ejaculate frequently (about 21 times a month) have a reduced risk of prostate cancer.
7. Relieves headaches and cramps: During sex (particularly for women), the endorphins and corticosteroids released can alleviate pain.
8. Improves sleep: The powerful oxytocins released during sex help people sleep better.
9. Keeps you fit: Thirty minutes of vigorous sex is akin to 15 minutes on a treadmill -- in particular, sex works the pelvis, thighs buttocks, arms, neck and thorax.
10. Prevents incontinence: Sex also works the muscles that stem the flow of urine.
And further bonus reasons to get busy? Regular sex is likely to produce more regular menstrual periods for women, as well as improve the appearance of skin, hair and teeth.

This one needs further studied! How does it EXTEND your life if carelessness or std's are involved? It's good for the moment! Then we stress over it months after while waiting on tests and bloodwork. First of all, we need to be sure it's a devoted, loyal, honest mate! One night stands and friends with benefits don't keep us healthy as they are sexual with every other man/woman on the block. Look at Tyler Woods.. I'm sure his wife has a poor stressed out heart these days. His cheating just took 3 years off her life for marriage breakdown. Any health risks by his selfish sexuality took more years off her life. That knocks off every heading you listed on here.

Scientists have been studying sex for years. It doesn't need anymore studies. It's a good thing and no not just for the moment. Clearly you need some extended research to know that what this article stated was fact. Your rantings sound bitter and rash. Whether they are or not is one thing, however that is how it comes across. Connecting with a suitable partner is common sence...use some. It is likely that if you're constantly worried about the people you are sleeping with you may want to take precautions, such as condoms, or knowing something about the person you are with. Heck assume you have found an ideal partner, not a jerk and no STD's by your standards, read the article again and be happy those are the benifits.
And it's Tiger Woods......so anything you said after that I didn't bother reading.

Yes, I did realise after my posting that I wrote Tyler. Oopsy, like science, mistakes happen. Do you have a SENSE of that? ..Not that I have a lot of respect for the man over his careless irresponsible lifestyle.
Anyway, just for the record, I don't have sex with ANYONE and have lived that way for aprox 3.5 years or more. Not even as I really liked a guy. I have turned that down. Not about fear either! More about morals. I could shock you by what I'm not afraid of.. lol
As for condoms.. CERTAINLY I'd want to use them. They do break though and there are in fact men who do remove them. Besides that, condoms don't cover regions beyond the shaft of the penis do they? HPV and other sores go uncovered. There is no sure proof that you don't have a jerk. They can start our nice and turn out to be complete opposite. Or even the other way around.
However, the "bitter" apple gets the bite!
I was never suggesting that sex wasn't good for the body. Although what isn't good is to be careless about sexuality. Those are the medical studies that you should read. Study the heart, the liver and the kidneys to see what I mean. All of those major organs are effected by std's. Even the brain. Tell me that AID's patients don't experience psychosis. With this being so, they can just let their mind SLIP into mating with everyone and anyone. Sometimes, when life feels threatened people take out a last resort for security don't they? Heaven's forbid if it should be that.
